Nu-Tec® Systems selects Mooresville

Mooresville, NC— Nu-Tec® Systems selects Mooresville, NC for manufacturing operation.  Nu-Tec® Systems plans to purchase an existing building located at 302 Rolling Hill Road in Lakeside Business Park. The company’s investment is expected to be $3,000,000.00 and plans to hire 15 full time positions.

Nu-Tec® Systems headquartered in Gurnee, Illinois manufactures top quality private label arc welding and plasma cutting products to guarantee high-end performance in the automotive market. The company provides products and services from a 20-amp plasma cutting system to a tandem-wire 600 amp, and water-cooled robotic welding system. Nu-Tec’s recent acquisition of H&S Autoshot Manufacturing, LTD. in Canada created an immediate need for expanded production and larger distribution center in the U.S. for their spot welding dent pulling products.

“We will manufacture and distribute a wide array of products at the Mooresville location,” said Michael Cooper, President of Nu-Tec Systems. “With our ever-evolving electronic inverter welding technology this location will give us a competitive edge to meet our customer driven demands.”

Based upon the Iredell County and Town of Mooresville’s discretionary Incentive Grant Policy a request was made by the Mooresville-South Iredell Economic Development Corporation on the company’s behalf.  The Town and County incentive grant policy is a performance-based program.  The company may receive a rebate up to $148,200.00 from the combined municipalities over a five-year period.

This project is made possible by Paula Sanders with New South Properties of the Carolinas, LLC, Brad Howard with The Langtree Group, Town of Mooresville, Iredell County and Mooresville South Iredell Economic Development Corporation.

“Nu-Tec Systems is a well-established company in the welding arena and we are pleased to be able to assist them with their expansion to Mooresville”, said Mayor Atkins, Town of Mooresville.

“We continue to be blessed with new projects investing in our community and are excited to see Nu-Tec thrive in Mooresville,” said Robert Carney, Jr., Executive Director of Mooresville-South Iredell Economic Development Corporation.
